We answered an advertisement through www.gumtree.com.au for a short term rental at reduced rental including utilities.  We met with the young couple and came to an agreement - we would be leaving their home three weeks prior to their return from Europe but that fitted in with our plans.  We shifted into their home and stayed for just over two months.  During this time we maintained the property and provided security to the home owners while they were overseas.  There were no pets to care for.  It was a perfect first experience.

We communicated via email at the end of our house sit and on their return from overseas they provided us with a reference as they were very happy with the perfect condition that the property was in.  We did ask for someone to check the property on our departure so that any queries could be rectified.  This was completed by a friend of the family and reported to the owners.  We did not expect any issues, and there was excellent feedback.
